gorgeous words

Degrees in English and the Culinary Arts (and the requisite experience following each) made choosing a career as a food writer a natural one. I was a regular contributor to Edible Portland and culinate.com. My writing has also been featured in Fine Cooking magazine, the Oregonian FoodDay section, Imbibe magazine, on foodell.com, and in several books including The Grand Central Baking Book (Ten Speed Press, 2009) and The Chefs Collaborative Cookbook (The Taunton Press, 2013).

My cookbook on lemons, The Lemon Cookbook: 50 Sweet and Savory Recipes to Brighten Every Meal, was published in April, 2015, and my cookbook Classic Cookies with Modern Twists came out four months later, in August, 2015.  In May, 2016, Portland Farmers Market Cookbook was released in celebration of the market's 25th season!  My most recent project, food styling for a new edition of Barbara Walker's The Little House Cookbook, will be published in October, 2018, to coincide with the 150th anniversary of Laura Ingalls Wilder's birth.
